Sarah
Practice Manager/Veterinary Technician
Being in Florida from Missouri since 2001, Sarah comes to Island Life with over 15 years of veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician. Sarah loves watching pets and their families grow. She adds, “being with the same practice for years, pets and clients become part of your own family. I love how everyone feels like a small family here.” Sarah’s special interests include radiology, surgery, client education, and exotics. At home, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs, and cat. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and biking.
Meagan
Customer Service Specialist
A Florida native, Meagan has been involved in the pet care industry for close to a decade working in the capacity of veterinary reception and doggy daycare. As our lead Customer Service Specialist, Meagan is our main point of contact when pet owners call or enter our animal hospital. Her experience, kindness, and warm demeanor is a huge asset to our team at Island Life Animal Hospital. She notes that a favorite part of working front reception is getting to know the clients on a personal level and watching their pets grow throughout the years. As an original team member of Island Life Animal Hospital, Meagan feels that being a part of our start-up veterinary practice is very exciting. She also enjoys being a part of a team environment that is very close and family-oriented. Meagan loves spending time with her husband, raising two young boys, and spending time as a family at the beach, being outdoors, and paddling Florida’s beautiful rivers and waterways in kayaks or canoes.
Jasmine
Veterinary Technician
Born right here in Tampa, Jasmine comes to us with over 3 years of being in the veterinary industry. As a Veterinary Technician, Jasmine enjoys watching patients grow up and getting to know pet owners. Her special interest is in Dentistry and says that her favorite part of working at Island Life is, “that it feels like a family.” Jasmine enjoys spending time at home with her two pitbull mixes, Corbin and Sadee, and her kitty, Kikipeach. In her free time, you’ll find Jasmine kayaking and going on nature trails with her pups as well as taking care of her 37 house plants.
Jordyn
Veterinary Technician
Coming from Naples, FL, Jordyn has been in the veterinary world for over 5 years, coming to Island Life as a Veterinary Technician. Jordyn loves working with our pet owners and patients along with special interests in lab work and being a surgical assistant to our Veterinarians. Becoming a part of our growing team, Jordyn says her favorite part is, “The atmosphere, my coworkers, and the Doctors. The amount of care that everyone has is amazing.” At home, Jordyn enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Chase, and their two dogs, Titan and Hercules. In her free time, Jordyn loves photography, hiking, and spending time with family.
Kera
Veterinary Technician
Born and raised here in St. Pete, Kera brings a few years of experience in the pet industry to Island Life as a Veterinary Technician. Kera loves meeting clients, getting to know pet owners and their pets. Being a part of our growing Island Life family, Kera says, “I love how open and patient everyone is to teaching you and helping you learn more.” Her special interests include dentistry, labs, and surgery. At home, you’ll find Kera spending time with her daughter, Kaylin, dog, and kitty. Kera enjoys watching anime, reading, and journaling in her free time.
